Without keyword research, you can lose yourself in your world and struggle with your industry giants who cannot be beaten in search results pages. There are a variety of factors that you need to consider when searching for keywords and establishing your keyword strategy. But do not worry, we will discuss all this a little. But before you get started, you need to understand that the power of keyword research lies in a better understanding of your target market and how they search for your content, services, or products online.
So why is keyword research important? Well, a proper keyword search is important because it clearly indicates the search terms your audience uses. So far, I have met many business owners who use a set of words to describe their products, while their target audience uses an entirely different set of words. As a result, potential customers could not find these websites due to a mismatch in the use of words. To make the process easier for you and for you to understand how keyword research is done, I have divided the process into 7 steps,
Step # 1: your mission you need to think about questions such as: what is the main goal of your company or organization? What makes it special? What exactly are you trying to reach? And, what do you promise on your website? Take your time and literally write down your mission on a piece of paper. The market you are in determines whether your mission will be high enough to rank. Some markets are very competitive, with large companies dominating search results. These companies have a huge budget for marketing in general and SEO in particular. Trying to compete with these markets is difficult, and so ranking in these markets is going to be difficult as well. You need to find a “small” place to start your SEO efforts because once you have a bit on your plate, you can definitely start competing with the biggest companies.
Step # 2: Create a keyword list with your mission in mind, trying to get into the head of your desired audience. What are these people going to see? What types of search terms can they use when searching for your amazing product or service? What “problems” does your product solve? Write as many answers as you can and give it time. If your mission is clear, you will have a very clear picture of your niche and your unique selling points(things that set your business apart from others). Once this step is complete, you will have a list of search terms you want to find.
Step # 3: search your keywords after making this first list, it’s time to dive a little deeper into your keywords. Fortunately, there are tools that make your keyword research a little easier. Well, SEMrush is not a typical keyword research tool; It offers much more than just a keyword search. In addition, it allows you to perform keyword searches in several ways: for example: – search keywords using starting keywords – search keywords that generate traffic for your competitors – analysis of the next keyword interval in the list, 2. Long-tail prolongtellpro is a cloud-based software for keyword research. This is a paid keyword research tool that will help you find amazing keywords for your niche or micro-niche sites.
With their “Platinum” version, you can get really amazing and really detailed keyword analysis for your website or business. They also have a competition Checker, which will make it easier for you to choose the right keywords for your strategy 3. Google Keyword Planner the Google Keyword Planner tool is one of the most used and popular keyword search tools on the market. The only reason it is so popular is that it is free and directly integrated with Google ads and to start using this tool, everything you need is a Google Ads account. Overall, this tool is a good basic option for the early stages of an SEO website. Google Keyword Planner is one of my favorite free tools, but if you need a more detailed overview with smart competitive analysis, I recommend going for SEMrush. 4. This keyword tool will allow you to find long-tail keywords based on your head or seed keywords. step # 4: remember the long tail when people start with keyword research, they focus on the very popular “head” or “seed” words. Unfortunately, these main keywords are mostly taken by large companies. Long-tail keywords, on the other hand, receive less search traffic, but also less competition. So, it’s easy for you to rank on these keywords. In addition, long-tail keywords also have a higher conversion value, because they focus more on a specific product or topic, in this case, this is your niche! Step # 5: the concurrency you had to analyze to search for long-tail keywords depends largely on your competition. If you have followed the steps above, you should have a spreadsheet with a significant amount of key phrases, as well as information about your audience’s competitiveness and search intent for those key phrases.
