Job Title: Driver
Responsibilities:
- Transporting Goods or Passengers: Safely and efficiently transport goods, materials, or passengers to designated locations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicle (e.g., checking oil, fuel, tire pressure, and brakes).
- Route Planning: Plan the best routes to ensure timely deliveries or arrivals, taking traffic, weather, and road conditions into account.
- Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading goods (if required), ensuring that products are handled safely and securely.
- Logbook Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of travel time, routes, fuel usage, vehicle maintenance, and deliveries or pickups.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers or clients in a professional manner, delivering goods or services with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Problem-Solving: Handle any issues that arise during the trip, such as delays, accidents, or vehicle malfunctions.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License: Must hold a valid and appropriate driver’s license (commercial or otherwise, depending on the role).
- Clean Driving Record: A clean driving history with no major traffic violations or accidents.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move heavy items (if the role involves deliveries) and sit for long periods.
- Time Management Skills: Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Local Roads: Familiarity with the local or assigned area for navigation purposes.
- Customer Service Skills: Polite and professional interaction with clients or customers.
