Waiter / waitress

Make sure all guests are served in restaurant / bar / lounge areas as per hotel standards. Show the highest standards of hospitality and hospitality are performed at all times in all areas of food and beverage. In a friendly, fast and efficient manner takes guests orders, tasks (if necessary, prepares) food and drinks in accordance with the standards of the hotel.

Summary of responsibilities:

• Welcomes guests and presents them with menus.
• Notifies guests of special items for the day and menu changes if necessary.
• Suggest food and drinks to the guest and also try to sell.
• Order food and drinks from the guest on the order of taking the block
• Receive income, issue receipts, accept payments, return currency.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or as directed by the supervisor.
• Fill in absent staff if necessary in one of the hotel’s F & B services.
• Punch the order on the POS machine and make sure to enter the special requirements made by the guest when ordering food. For example: no garlic, less spicy, etc. , Without eggs, etc.
• Communicate with the guest and provide assistance in answering questions.
• Work as a team so that all tasks are completed at a certain time.
• Watches customers and ensures their satisfaction with food and service.
• Respond quickly to guests with any additional requests.
• Take customer feedback and encourage them to share their feedback on our social media platforms, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, etc.
• Maintain proper dining experience, deliver items, meet customers ‘ needs, offer desserts and drinks, take out courses, restore utensils, fill glasses.
• Open well and pour wine on the table.
• Consistently follow beauty and appearance standards.
• Understands and can communicate products and services available at the station .
• There should be some familiarity with basic cooking knowledge.
• Other areas of the restaurant such as answering the phone and making financial transactions.
• Print closing reports and deposit money with the front office / accounting department.
• Total credit card settlements for the day with EDC machine batch completion report .
• Turn off the shift at the POS terminal.
• Other tasks assigned

Qualification:

• Excellent communication skills in English, written and oral; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
• Dependable with attention to detail and high level of accuracy in your work
• Active and energetic with a positive “can”attitude
• Ability to multitask with priority skills
• Knowledge of products / items sold in the point of sale
• Mastering using microphones
